Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence Earns NCQA Certified Measures Status for HEDIS® Measurement Year 2024

Quality measures embedded in Cotiviti’s Best in KLAS® solution pass NCQA’s intensive validation process for 24th consecutive year

Press Release_HEDIS_MY 2024SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 9, 2024 – Quality Engine, the administrative measure logic and systematic sample processing component of Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence solution, has earned Certified Measures status for the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) 2024 Measurement Year (MY 2024) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This certification, which follows Quality Intelligence being named the 2024 Best in KLAS® solution for Payer Quality Measurement and Reporting, validates that measures have passed the thorough testing required to effectively support health plans with the MY 2024 reporting season.

“As NCQA seeks to transition to fully digital quality measurement by 2030, health plans require a partner that can not only deliver software that meets NCQA’s rigorous specifications, but can also offer expertise to help them navigate this transition,” said Emad Rizk, M.D., chairman, president, and CEO of Cotiviti. “For the 24th consecutive year, Cotiviti’s achievement of this recognition demonstrates our commitment to delivering greater value, innovation, and partnership to health plan clients of all sizes in quality improvement.”

Cotiviti’s Quality Intelligence, which consistently processes the majority of member lives reported to NCQA, is a measurement and reporting solution that streamlines compliance and facilitates HEDIS, state-specific, and other quality measure submissions. When integrated with Star Intelligence, the solution offers a one-stop shop for HEDIS and Star Ratings management and helps clients deliver consistency across quality programs, ensuring compatibility with historical data to support trending and projection logic. Quality Intelligence also integrates directly with Cotiviti’s medical record retrieval services, which consistently deliver clinical quality retrieval rates exceeding 90%, as well as medical record abstraction services that consistently deliver more than 97% accuracy.

The solution earned Best in KLAS recognition based on insights sourced from healthcare executives as well as directly from Quality Intelligence end-users, continuing Cotiviti’s long-running status as a top performer. Cotiviti earned the highest ratings in five of KLAS's customer experience pillars, including culture, loyalty, product, relationship, and value.

“Quality Intelligence is used by a wide array of health plan professionals, ranging from quality improvement directors to reporting analysts to medical record abstractors,” said Chad Kinkead, senior vice president of risk adjustment, quality, and population health for Cotiviti. “Our clients often cite the platform’s user-friendly, intuitive interface, as well as how it empowers them to efficiently share quality data within the health plan to streamline clinical data retrieval, improve quality scores, and close care gaps.”

HEDIS is the measurement tool used by health plans across the United States to gauge clinical quality and customer service performance, including a standardized set of performance measures that allow purchasers and consumers to compare care quality across various health plans.
