Cotiviti, Inc. (Cotiviti) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting Personal Information that you provide to us. This statement explains our policies and practices regarding the use and disclosure of your Personal Information by Cotiviti. By using the Cotiviti website or other Cotiviti-owned or operated services that post this Privacy Policy, or otherwise sharing your Personal Information with us, you consent to the usage of your Personal Information by Cotiviti as explained below.

 

Personal Information

It is our policy to (1) protect the confidentiality of Social Security numbers, (2) prohibit unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers, and (3) limit access to Social Security numbers.

 

Use and Non-Disclosure of Personal Information

Cotiviti may use this information internally in connection with processing your inquiries and orders. verify information about you, or to help improve our products and services. Cotiviti also may use your Personal Information for the purposes of supporting your relationship with Cotiviti by designing content that is suitable to your needs and alerting you to new service offerings as they become available.

Cotiviti may share your Personal Information with its parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control (collectively the "Cotiviti family of companies.") We would only share such information with third-parties outside the Cotiviti family of companies with your express permission or as required by applicable law. Information obtained in this manner is not used for any direct marketing effort by Cotiviti or in connection with delivery to you of any of Cotiviti's goods or services. Information that is received in this capacity is only used in a manner consistent with its original authorized purpose and its privacy is protected to the same extent as personal or sensitive data that is sent directly to Cotiviti by you. Cotiviti is committed to a strong privacy policy which complies with appropriate and applicable standards. This standard will match or exceed the level of privacy that you are entitled to in connection with your disclosure of information you made to any party who later submits it to Cotiviti for audit. Where this information is especially sensitive and the law requires that its privacy receive special protection, such as HIPAA protections for healthcare billing information, Cotiviti adheres to these standards in its efforts to protect your privacy.

 

Collection of Non-Personal Data

When using Cotiviti's web page, Cotiviti may collect limited information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website.
