We asked RaeAnn, “What quote resonates with you most as a woman leader and why?”

"Do one thing every day that scares you." - Eleanor Roosevelt

I appreciate this quote because it helps to energize and propel me forward. It inspires me to ensure I attack change, impact, and drive differentiation personally and professionally every day. It reminds me to never accept mediocracy or be content. It moves me to embrace my fear to drive me further, my business further, the industry further.

SVP, Performance Analytics and Quality

"A woman who walks in purpose doesn't have to chase people or opportunities, her light causes people and opportunities to pursue her." - Anne Nwakama

For me, everything begins and ends with purpose. As a leader, staying true to my authentic purpose empowers me to show up as my full self each day. Purpose provides a source of inspiration and strength. Having a clear purpose and walking in that purpose reaffirms a sense of knowing that, what is for me, will be for me therefore, I can move accordingly and lead with a quiet confidence and steady self-assuredness.

SVP, Coordination of Benefits

"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." - Albert Einstein

As woman leaders, we bring a unique perspective to our businesses, with an endless number of variants based on our myriad of professional and personal experiences. Thought diversity, and inclusion of varying points of view, is an essential element of problem solving, growth, and evolution. The above captioned quote by Albert Einstein is a reminder of our absolute responsibility as leaders to elicit and cultivate divergent thinking and encourage the process to move our teams through obstacles and challenges to solutions.

Ashley King

Vice President of Sales Management

“In the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders.” – Sheryl Sandberg

This quote resonates with me because it serves as a reminder that my drive to succeed is about more than just my career trajectory. Every time I break through a barrier, every time I get a seat at the table, I’m clearing a path for the women that follow behind me. I’m helping reshape the image that comes to mind when someone hears the word “leader”.

VP, Sales

"At the end of the day people won’t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel." - Maya Angelou

In every role I have had over the past 20+ years, relationships play a key part. I’ve thought of this quote often, both personally and professionally. It serves as a reminder for me to approach every interaction with integrity and kindness.

Leah Dewey

AVP, Solution Success

"A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to." - Rosalynn Carter

This quote resonates with me as a woman leader as it defines the challenge we all face – the unknown and uncertainty. It’s our job as leaders to coach our teams to leverage all their strengths and encourage them to take risks that uncover their hidden potential.

Kerby Fanelli

Director, Revenue Cycle

"She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails." - Elizabeth Edward

For me, this quote speaks of resilience and strength. As a woman leader, both qualities are at the core of the values I hold. When presented with an impediment, it is easy to become consumed by it. I’ve learned that the best path forward is through, and at times that means not allowing yourself to be swept up in the negative and instead adjusting your perspective to positive and meaningful actions. I also seek to foster such an environment for my team, where they feel confident and supported in their abilities to overcome challenges.
